How it works

Set up Shopify in 3 steps

Here is how the integration is designed to work once it launches.

  1. Step 01

    Connect your store

Connect your Shopify store to your account.

  2. Step 02

    Choose your triggers

Choose which store events trigger a WhatsApp message: cart abandoned, order placed, order shipped.

  3. Step 03

    Messages send themselves

We send the message automatically the moment the event fires.

Capabilities

What you can do with Shopify

The core jobs this integration takes off your plate.

Abandoned cart recovery

Nudge customers back to checkout with a direct link, sent over WhatsApp.

Order & shipping status

Confirm orders and shipping automatically, cutting 'where's my order' tickets.

Example messages

Messages that send themselves

A few examples of what Shopify events could send to your customers on WhatsApp. Every message uses a template you write and Meta approves.

  • Cart abandoned

A friendly reminder with a link straight back to the saved checkout, sent after a delay you choose.

  • Order placed

An instant confirmation with the order number, so customers never wonder if it went through.

  • Order shipped

A shipping update with the tracking link as soon as the order is fulfilled.

Benefits

Why connect Shopify

Less manual follow-up, faster answers and customers who always know what is happening.

Reminders people actually see

Cart and order messages land in the app your customers open every day, not a crowded promotions tab.

Fewer support tickets

Proactive order and shipping updates answer the most common question before anyone has to ask it.

Sent at the right moment

Messages go out when the store event fires, with no one on your team watching the dashboard.

Replies go to your team inbox

When a customer replies to an order update, the conversation lands in your shared inbox with full context.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before you get started

Clear answers to the most common questions about WP Tool, the WhatsApp Business API, billing and support.

Is the Shopify integration available today?
Not yet. It is on our roadmap and marked as coming soon. You can get notified at launch, and use WP Tool broadcasts, automation and team inbox in the meantime.
Which Shopify events will be able to trigger a message?
The integration is designed around the events stores ask for most: cart abandoned, order placed and order shipped. You choose which ones send a WhatsApp message.
Do customers need to opt in to receive these messages?
Yes. WhatsApp requires customer opt-in for business-initiated messages. Collect consent at checkout or signup, and WP Tool keeps track of it on each contact.
Will the messages use approved templates?
Yes. Automated messages sent outside a customer conversation use WhatsApp templates that you write and Meta approves, just like any other WP Tool message.
How much does each message cost?
Meta charges per message based on its category and the customer's country. Order updates are usually utility messages and cart reminders are usually marketing. We show Meta's charges separately from our plan fee.
Can I choose when a cart reminder goes out?
Yes. Cart reminders are designed to go out after a delay you choose, so they reach customers while the cart is still fresh in their mind.
