What is a WhatsApp click-to-chat link?
It is a wa.me link that opens a WhatsApp chat with your number when someone taps it. The customer does not need to save your number first, and it works on phones and on WhatsApp Web or desktop.
Is this link generator free?
Yes. The tool is completely free, needs no signup and there is no limit on how many links you create.
How should I format the phone number?
Use the full international number: country code followed by the number, without the plus sign, spaces, brackets or a leading zero. For example, 919876543210 for an Indian number. The tool strips any non-digit characters for you.
Does the link ever expire?
No. A wa.me link keeps working as long as the phone number is active on WhatsApp or the WhatsApp Business app or API.
Can I track clicks on my WhatsApp link?
The link itself does not include tracking. You can wrap it in a link shortener or add different pre-filled messages per channel, so you can tell where each conversation started.
Do you store the number or message I enter?
No. The link is built right in your browser as you type. Nothing you enter is sent to or saved on our servers.
